Robotics Fun!

 We've had a lot of fun with robotics lessons this winter!

A favorite is this lesson which combines the book "Blizzard" by John Rocco and programming our Dash robots.

Students have a blast plowing snow with Dash after reading about a blizzard that dumped nearly 40 inches of snow on John Rocco's town when he was a boy.

2026 MN Youth Reading Award Nominees!

Battle of the Books!

We celebrated our love of reading with our annual 5th Grade Battle of the Books!

Halverson, Hawthorne, Lakeview & Sibley battled each other to see which school's team knew the most about this year's Division 1 Maud Hart Lovelace nominees.

Halverson's team & audience earned the Leah Staloch Sportsmanship Award & Lakeview's team won the battle with the most points scored during competition!
